In appreciation of the service rendered towards the progress of the nation through the religious, social and environmental sectors “Swarnadeepa” Golden Awards was presented by Hon. Cabinet Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, secretary to the SLFP on behalf His Excellency Maithreepala Sirisena, at the ceremony held on the 29th September 2016. Rev. Kirby himself was not in the country to receive this award, hence his representative (Youth Pastor) Roshith Perera and his Wife Tashali Perera Received on behalf of him.
